Scenes from St. Simons...Part I

Study of a gnarly tree. Cypress?

One of the many old, old, sweeping, spreading live oaks.

More to come...

Aren't mini-breaks the best! Congrats on the 5k, you've made me feel unfit and lazy - I can't remember the last time I ran (except maybe to catch the bus in the morning!). I think a new fitness plan may be in order...

I LOVE those trees. We went on vacation once and I ended up with ton of tree pictures. I got (made) Chad put the girls up in a tree, (they were scared and one may have been on the verge of tears) but the picture turned out GREAT!

Now, it hangs in the hallway and the girls remind me how mean I was to make them get in the tree!

But I still love the picture.

Have a great trip!

Beautiful! But I don't think it's a cypress. They usually grow in water. I love the pics! They make me want to disappear into them.
