This I Do for Me

I have fretted and fretted over my blog recently. I haven't seemed to have the time, resources or inspiration to post recently. I feel like I've posted just enough to maybe string some readers along. I've felt guilty for not updating because I feel an obligation to my blog. And to the readers, maybe?

I figured if I couldn't do a "proper" post, I just wouldn't post at all.

I long to be inspirationally artistic like Teesha. Consistent and relevant like Inthefastlane. (Love her most recent "I am" post.) Engaging like Mabel's House. Sweetly industrious like Posy Gets Cozy. Witty like I Should Be Folding Laundry. My list of comparison is endless. It's like I'm in high school again.

I had an insight into myself this morning.

My husband has said it before: "You're an all or nothing kind of person."

I totally get it.

So, I've decided. This blog is for me. Oh, I really want you to share it with me, and I love receiving comments, but I gotta get back to the freedom of blogging. Blogging what interests me, no matter how small, or unfortunately, infrequent, a post it may be.

Good for you ! I always feel bad when I see I have lost a reader . I know I'm not exciting and I don't give tons of stuff away like other big blogs,so for lots of people I'm too boring. Then I think who cares,I did my blog so I could ramble away and be excited when another adult actually leaves a comment and talks to me in my day filled with little people. Plus it's a way for me to look back and see what was going on, on whatever date. You should just write whatever and whenever you feel like it and the loyal people will stay and share with you and the rest can go to ...... well you know where ! haha

I know what you mean. Some days I feel like I write the most boring things some days and that no one could possibly care what I am thinking! As for your comment you posted on my blog, lets not try to meet accidentally...let's plan it! I can meet you at Sam's and we can have lunch! Or, since I need a haircut so terribly, I could come your way! :)

This is the first time I've wandered into your blog and I completely understand what your talking about. I'm trying to blog for myself lately too.

But the real reason I decided to break my normal look and lurk policy and comment here is because of the picture. It's romantic and beautiful. I love it. Amazing.
