Hairy Taxes

Sweet Nellie, what a week it's been!

I've been so busy, I thought Tuesday should have been the end of the week! I don't know the last time I've seen so much hair! I've been jokingly saying that I think people must be getting their economic stimulus checks!

I've been plotting what to do with mine (if I get one). First, it was going in the bank. Then, I decided to use it on a dishwasher now that mine is kaput, but after talking to the accountant today, I realize, I'm just going to sign it right back over to the IRS since I owe them beaucoup moola. (Look at me speaking multiple languages!)

I sense by the constant comments (read sarcasm) that you are all on the edge of your seats biting your nails wondering what in the world happened with client confused about her stylist. I did touch up her hair which needed tweaking but was by no means a "bad" haircut. My dilemma about whether or not to charge her ended up being a moot point. My brain said to charge a small amount, but my mouth ended up telling her that it was no charge. She argued and handed me a little more than my brain had suggested which showed me that my gut feeling is still large and in charge.

In other news, I went to Body Pump this morning (exiting the bed was a huge accomplishment to start with) and I upped the weight I've been doing. I felt strong, I felt powerful -- and I won't be able to walk tomorrow. Since I am a glutton for punishment and clearly delirious, I'm going to a class in the morning called RPM which is a spinning class.

I'm smoking! (Possibly crack?)

Spin Class....
I remember the time that I tried to take a spin class. I couldn't believe how hyper the instructer was, and I couldn't figure out how she was talking and spinning at the same time!! I could not for the life of me get my butt off that seat when we were doing the up and down exercises. It was really funny, until she stopped the whole class to help me with my butt and my bike. Talk about not being able to walk the next day. You might want to put some ice packs between your thighs, because mine were killing me and I waddled around like a duck the next day.
Spin classes will kick you into shape FAST!! I wish I had the courage to go back, but after my butt incident, I'm scared to. Good luck, you'll have alot of fun, and I'm sure you'll do fine. But you have to tell me if halfway through you get the urge to chunk your water bottle at the instructor for being so happy and hyper. I know I wanted to.

Your smoking??????? What???? OH you mean smoking as in your doing a great job...whew, you scared me there for a minute. I took a spin class and loved it. But, the instructor told me before the class to take it easy and if I felt like it was becoming to much to just pedal it out and slow it down a little. The key was to just not stop pedaling. I loved it and although i felt a little disappointed that I couldn't do the standing up bit I think I still did a great job keeping up with the tension and releasing part. It was hard and my legs were jelly when I finished.

I think you did the right thing with that client. It's always nice to show the client that you are willing to fix your "mistakes" for free. It shows integrity.

Of course, the fact that she paid you anyway shows that I don't know what the hell I'm talking about, doesn't it. ;)
